2017 ANNUAL APPEAL

"We are so grateful for our partnership with Haverford Township Free Library and its contribution to literacy development at Starting Line Day Care and Learning Center"
- Christine Starken, Director

We know that language and literacy skills increase the odds of academic and economic success later in life.  That's why we are committed to early reading at the Library. Since January 2016, we have seen over 6,000 children, ages 1-5, and their caregivers for storytime and have loaned out over 56,696 picture books.

"I learned more in an hour from the Librarian than my kids had time to teach me over the last year. Thank you!" - library patron

Community members visit the Library every day hoping to complete life's tasks many of us take for granted, but laking the basic computer skills to accomplish them. Whether it is finding and applying for a job, learning more about a health condition, or connecting with their grandchildren online, our Librarians provide training and support to anyone seeking to learn how to connect in this digital age.

EVERY GIFT COUNTS. GIVE TO THE HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP FREE LIBRARY.
