Programs in Partnership with the Civic Council

Tree Tenders

Haverford Tree Tenders is associated with the PA Horticultural Society's Tree Tender Program. Our chapter was established in 2009 and since that time we have planted over 2,000 trees in parks, public places, and residential streets.

Hav-A-Rain Garden

This program was started in 2014 by the Haverford Township Environmental Advisory Committee. The goal of the program is to install, with volunteer labor, rain gardens on private property to improve stormwater management and water quality.

Haverford Climate Action

The Haverford Township Civic Council, with support from the Haverford EAC (Environmental Advisory Committee) and the H-CAN Climate Action Group, created a website to serve as a clearinghouse of information to help local residents make informed choices as they strive to live more sustainable lives.

Friends of Haverford Trails

We are fortunate to have walking and jogging trails in every corner of Haverford Township. Everyone living in Haverford has a trail no more than a mile away from their home.
