Demonstrations at the proposed sites have also continued to be successful in spreading the word to local residents. The next public zoning board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 15th at 7:00 pm at Lynnewood Elementary School. Please come out and show support for the fight to keep additional billboards out of the Township. For more information, or to get involved, contact nobillboardsinhaverford@gmail.com .

Please come to an organizational meeting at 3:00 pm on October 4th at the Llanerch Presbyterian Church at the corner of Landsowne and E. Park Rds. if you are interested in getting involved. | Tribute to Helen Berger
The civic council sadly announces the death of Helen Berger, 82, who was a mainstay of our organization for many years. She served as Membership Chair, Treasurer and newsletter editor, she received the Civic Council's Distinguished Service award upon her retirement from the board in 2007. In addition, she recently received a Haverford Township Lifelong Appreciation Award. She was also very active in the Darby Creek Valley Association, League of Women Voters, DELCO Action Seniors and the Democratic Party. Helen was a great example of an actively involved citizen dedicated to her community and country, and we will miss her.
